On Sunday 25th June, Highworth hosted the annual challenge between Swindon & District and Southampton & District Bowls Associations.
Swindon was represented by teams from Highworth including President of Swindon & District, Mark Richman, North End, Swindon West End, Westlecot Garrads and Faringdon.
After a close game on most rinks, Swindon came out on top thanks mainly to a big win by the Garrads rink which included a HOT SHOT, (all 8 bowls counting)
The game was followed by a lovely meal of Beef Stew, new potatoes, veg and Yorkshire Pudding following by Lemon Meringue Pie.
