Bowls Wiltshire Ladies missed out by the narrowest of margins in their Walker Cup semi-final against Northamptonshire. Deanne Davis & Linda Young were part of Alison Fail’s rink that won 22-17 but, sadly, their 5-shot winning margin was offset by a 6-shot loss on the other rink, following an extra-end decider.
However, Northamptonshire lost out to Lincolnshire in the final, going down 32-37. It was Lincolnshire’s third success in the competition, whilst Northamptonshire were making their second appearance in the final, but are yet to secure the title.
