On a beautiful late May day, Highworth BC held their Open Day as part of the Bowls Big Weekend.
Lots of members were present to help with the many tasks that make such a day a success, or simply to watch and add atmosphere to proceedings.
We were delighted that 28 potential bowlers tried their hand at the sport under the excellent guidance of Stuart our coach and his happy band of helpers.
Members and visitors enjoyed the lovely cakes baked by members and took the chance to have a cup of tea or the occasional stronger beverage.
A great day, full of fun and friendship which really is at the heart of what our game should be.
